Die Schwebebahn hinauf auf den Hausberg der Appenzeller und der Ostschweizer
Auch im Schnee kann man draussen auf der geschuetzten Sonnen-Terrasse die wunderbare Aussicht und das gute Essen geniessen
Nach dem Essen kann man eine kleine Wanderung machen hinauf zum Fernsehturm. Dies ist die Rueckseite des alten Restaurants.
Uebers Schneefeld fuehrt der Wanderweg rueber bis zur Ebenalp. Empfohlen nur fuer gute Wanderer.

Und das hier ist "mein" Amerikaner auf dem Saentis, damals in 2000. Ein sonnenverwoehnter Floridianer, der etliche Probleme hatte mit der Kaelte dort oben. :-)Ein Saentis-Trip ist ein Muss fuer jeden Besucher der Schweiz.

Säntis (2,502 m) is a mountain in the Alpstein sub-range of the Appenzell Alps in Switzerland. It can be reached by aerial tramway from Schwägalp.
The peak is the highest point of the cantons of Appenzell Innerrhoden and Appenzell Ausserrhoden, and is also shared by the Canton of St. Gallen.
From the Swisscom transmission tower (123.55 m), various VHF radio and television programs (SF1, SF2) of SRG SSR idée suisse are broadcast.

I know about your love and your favorite mountains in Switzerland, they are located in the "Berner Oberland" regions, in the South-West part of Switzerland.
The Saentis (in my post) is in the East of Switzerland - and not that hight also.
